The Beginning and the Past: 2.2-2.3 Fall of Mankind and Mind’s Eye

The Beginning and the Past: 2.2-2.3 Fall of Mankind and Mind’s Eye

Long time, no post!

Eve, the woman, was deceived by the serpent. She ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. She even got some for her husband, Adam, and he too ate the fruit.
As soon as they ate they ate the forbidden fruit, they realized that they were naked and so they sewed fig leaves together to clothe themselves.

God was walking in the Garden of Eden and so they hid themselves among the bushes and trees. God asked Adam where he is and he replied saying “I was ashamed and I hid among the trees, for I am naked.” “Who told you this? Did you eat from the forbidden tree?” God said with a thundering voice. “Eve gave me some and so I ate it.” “And Eve?” God asked as He turned to Eve. “The serpent deceived me and so I ate the fruit.”God punished the serpent and as well as Adam and Eve for their disobedience.

So that’s why mothers nowadays bear the pain when giving birth to a child; and so that’s why your father and my father are working hard to make a living.

To think of it, the serpent’s punishment was to crawl with its belly. Is it possible that the serpent was walking? Research says, that yes, it is possible that the serpent or snake was walking. I researched about in answersingenesis.com and they said that it was possible that the snake changed its form after being cursed.
I can’t imagine how the snake looks like while walking. Does it have arms and legs? Is it similar to a walking lizard? I do not know for sure, but isn’t it amazing how our mind works with imagination? What is imagination anyway? How does it work? Does everyone have this ability? Can you use the five senses in this?

Imagining is the ability of forming mental images, sensations, and concepts; in a moment when they are not perceived through sight, hearing on other senses
                                                                   Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Imagination is said to be the “mind’s eye” that forms mental images. Imaginations, in my words, are the thoughts you are thinking that are visualized in your mind. You created this picture on how this person may look like, your dream place, events that you are creating and so on. I am sure that everyone has the ability of imagination, but not everyone uses it. Some people don’t know how to use, train, work, and master this ability. Young children from ages 3-18 uses imagination greatly and regularly which is why children are very creative. I also believe that you can use the five senses in the process of imagining

The Beginning and the Past: The 6 Days of Creation and the Garden of Eden

The Beginning and the Past: The 6 Days of Creation and the Garden of Eden

Hi there! I haven’t been posting for a very long time because I was busy typing some articles for (----- ---). Oh well, at least I am typing right now. We are now tackling a new chapter which is “The Beginning and the Past”. In this article, I will talk about the 6 days of God’s creation.

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth…” (Genesis 1:1)

As I said earlier in (paste link to who am I article)did you realize that we were created from the soil and buried from the soil when we die? (Genesis 2:7)Isn’t that amazing? God really is quite mysterious and that is one of the reasons that I study His Word, which is the Bible.

God is our role model. He is our God and He is our Lord, yet He chose to be an example to us. He can create the whole world with a snap, but He did it day by day and even rested!
He showed us that you and I
should not cram our work in one day and that we need to rest after several days of working.

God created Adam on the sixth day. His job was to name all the animals and beasts that God brought to him. God placed him in the Garden of Eden so he could take care of them.

The Garden of Eden was described in the Bible in Genesis 2:8-14

Many say that the Garden of Eden is located in Iraq between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. I agree because there are some ziggurats around the country which is an evidence of ancient people living there and besides Iraq was Mesopotamia.

Mesopotamia or present-day Iraq is where Abram (Abraham) the “Father of all Nations” was born. He lived in the city of Ur now present-day Al-Nasariyah. Babylon is also located in Iraq which is now Al-Hillah. The ancient place called Sumer also lies in Iraq. Sir Leonard C. Wooley discovered tombs and artifacts of the Sumerians. He also found some ziggurats in ruins.

Hmmm… Sumerians are known for their ziggurats and they are located in Iraq. Babylon, the place where the Tower of Babel can be located, is also located in Iraq. So since they both lived on the same era, (3500 B.C.)then the Tower of Babel most probably looks like a ziggurat! So since the Tower of Babel is in Babylon, which is in Iraq, then civilization may have started there! Besides, Babylon is near the said to be place of the Garden of Eden. The name of the two rivers was mentioned on the location of the Garden of Eden in Genesis 2:14 “The name of the third river is Tigris; it runs along the east side of Asshur. And the fourth river is Euphrates.”

I will gather all the resources that I got from the net for you and compile it in another blog post entry so you could read the information for yourselves. See you!

Who Am I? : Family Roots: Tracing Your Roots (Part 2)

Halloo! I’m back! Let’s go to the next topic which is Tracing Your Roots (Part 2)! I will show you the steps on how to trace your roots later after the topic. Okay let’s start…

There are plenty of ways to trace your roots. One of the ways to trace
your roots is by making a “family roots” and ask your grandparents or parents the characteristics of each family clan. You can see whose clan you inherited your physical appearance, characteristics, personalities, and even mannerisms! You will also be able to answer the person who asks you “Who do you look like? Your dad or your mom?” Being able to know how much genes you got from your dad and your mom will make you look smart when you answer specifically like “I got 45% of Dad’s genes and 65% of Mom’s.”

My Mom got the mannerism of rubbing her feet when she’s texting, typing, writing and thinking. She got it from the Nunez side which is her mother’s side. Dad got the mannerism of rubbing his lips together before he talks or when his thinking of something to say.

We will use the “6 Steps of Scientific Method” to point out where your physical appearance and personalities really lies.

  1.       State the problem – whose side I am more, father or mother?
  2.      Gathering Information- Sketch your family tree/roots to find the last names of your great grandparents. (post link to picture)
  3.                 Hypothesis-How will I find my roots? What are the characteristics of my clans? (post link to article)
  4.      Experiment/Test the Hypothesis- I’ll lay out the characteristics in each clan to find out which clan are the characteristics that I got.
  5.       Record and Analyze- Check and cross the characteristics that you got from each clan.

  1. Formula:
(total of characteristics of each clan) /45(overall total (Dad + Mom side) x 100

j     6.      State the Conclusion- So what is the percentage of the genes that I got on both sides? I am…..

This is me…So I am more of Mommy huh?

Waaiiittt! This is not the end yet! This is just the end of the unit… Join me in the next unit titled “The Beginning and The Past”

Here’s a sneak peek of the unit title page…
